President's Council
Founded ahead of the 2020-2021 academic year, the President's Council plans state programming akin to a State Officer Team.
Reporting to the President and the State Officer Liasion, the President's Council aims at leading Virginia PBL's transformation to provide a more valuable and realistic leadership experience for college students. Council members should expect a consistent and meaningful leadership experience.
Requirements

Have at least one year remaining in your undergraduate program (all majors are encouraged to apply)

Attend the 2020 PBL State Preparation Conference (SPARC), and 2021 Virginia PBL State Leadership Conference.

Participate actively in council meetings and activities.
Expectations
-
Establish communication channels at local chapters to promote and encourage participation in State and National level initiatives.

Organize and implement short-term and long-term State level initiatives to expand and sustain the development of Virginia Phi Beta Lambda.

Perform all such and additional duties assigned by the President and Executive Staff of Virginia Phi Beta Lambda.

Preside over the State Executive Board meetings, Council meetings, and business meetings of PBL,

Direct the activities and projects of the state chapter,

Will maintain a close and continuing relationship with the State Chairman, State Specialist, State Officer Director, and State Conference Director

Serve as an ex-officio, nonvoting member of all committees,
-
Act as the primary external representative of the division

Appoint and oversee appropriate committees and committee chairmen,

Assist other officers in completion of duties

Assist the President with the oversight and management of the President’s Council

Establish and maintain meeting agendas, correspondence, and briefs within the Council

Ex-officio, nonvoting member of all President’s Council committees

Filter administrative concerns within the President’s Council and its members.
Secretary
Siam Sheikh

Keep accurate records and minutes of all meetings and executive board meetings

Submit the minutes to the President within two weeks following all meetings

Maintain chapter membership and contact records as needed

Ex-officio, nonvoting member of all President’s Council committees

Maintain and establish Virginia PBL digital media presence including but not limited to social media, newsletters, handbooks, etc.

Conduct regularly scheduled surveys and market research of Virginia PBL engagement.
Programming and Chapter Development

Create and maintain regularly scheduled active and passive programing for Virginia PBL members.

Gather and publish Chapter Development and alumni outreach resources for local Chapter officers and members.
Special Projects

Assist with the planning of signature Virginia PBL programming such as the Competitive Events programming and Conferences.
